Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Leadman to provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to craft workers in piping projects across industrial systems in Texas. You will support the Foreman, supervise journeymen, and ensure work aligns with specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities include layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and maintenance of piping systems, refrigeration and AC components, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with experience in piping work.
• Experience leading craft workers and following Foreman guidance.
• Strong knowledge of pipe installation, fabrication, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related equipment.
• Select pipe type and size and plan installations to avoid obstructions.
• Inspect worksites and plan sequence of activities.
• Cut, thread, bend, and install pipe with various tools and methods.
• Mount hangers, brackets, and supports for pipes.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning piping and controls.
• Test piping systems for leaks and verify integrity.
• Weld pipe supports to structural members.
• Observe safety rules and assist in material handling and lifting.
• Perform routine maintenance of tools and equipment and comply with respiratory safety requirements.
