Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Lead to oversee the general operation of a specific department at our facility in Washington.

The Lead must be capable of performing all department positions and operating all equipment, while ensuring hazards are eliminated and PPE is used by every Team Member. Responsibilities include covering for the Front line Supervisor during absences, maintaining load setup for shipping, and providing performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Lead must be able to perform all positions in the department.
• Ensure area is free from hazards and that PPE is used by all team members.
• Cover for the Front line Supervisor during absences and assist with communications to the Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain load setup ahead of shipping crew and provide feedback on work performance.
• Communicate any concerns reported by team members to the Supervisor.
• Fill in for team members as needed and assist with problem solving to support the Supervisor.
• Inform supervisor of mechanical breakdowns, safety hazards or production problems.
• Ensure safety and food safety are upheld by all Tyson team members.
