Tyson Foods is seeking a seasoned supervisor to assist in controlling expenses and coordinating federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements on a 1st shift. You will interpret and enforce policies, determine manpower needs, and maintain essential records to reflect accurate conditions.

The role requires the ability to work with department heads to meet production quality yields while upholding labor standards and safety. Strong supervisory skills and HACCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of related industry, 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations.
• Computer Skills: Standard computer skills
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements.
• Interpret and enforce company policies; assist in manpower planning and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports reflecting conditions accurately; solve problems with sound follow-up.
• Work with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals while maintaining labor standards and product quality.
• Inspect and maintain housekeeping, safety, sanitation and security; supervise production supervisors; oversee designated shift operations.
