Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 3 who leads distribution of medications and supports pharmaceutical care. This role operates in a high-volume environment, guiding less experienced technicians and coordinating with pharmacists.

Responsibilities include inventory management, prior authorization support, and education for residents and students. Candidates should have a HS Diploma, 2 years of experience, and TX Board of Pharmacy credentials.

Qualifications

• Professional understanding of Pharmacy Care modalities, terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of procedures for labeling and dispensing prescription medications.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pharmacy technician team and cross-train new hires.
• Assist in Purchasing, Receiving, Auditing, Sterile and nonsterile compounding, Billing and Informatics.
• Support pharmacists with medication reconciliation and formulary research.
• Participate in education for pharmacy residents/students.
• Coordinate and manage inventory and special projects.
