Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Performance Test Engineer to lead performance engineering initiatives for complex enterprise and cloud-native apps. You will design tests, build automation, and integrate performance gates in CI/CD, while leveraging AWS and observability tools to drive scalability and resiliency.

The role is remote, open to US applicants, with strong emphasis on collaboration and impact. The candidate should bring 10+ years in performance testing, hands-on NeoLoad, cloud experience

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and non-functional testing for enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability tests for enterprise apps.
• Build and maintain automated performance testing frameworks with NeoLoad.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines with thresholds and gates.
• Analyze application, database, infrastructure, network, and cloud performance to identify bottlenecks.
• Plan and execute Chaos Engineering and resiliency testing to evaluate fault tolerance.
• Develop automation utilities using Python, Java, SQL, APIs, and scripting to improve testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance KPIs and standards.
