Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead its Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) team in Newark, CA. Responsibilities include directing PCBA test development, validation, and optimization across Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe Testing.

You will mentor engineers, define test strategies, support NPI and production ramp, and drive improvements in yield and test efficiency while collaborating with Design, Quality, and Program Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or related field.
• 8+ years in test engineering in EMS/PCB/electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Expertise in PCBA Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe.
• Experience with NPI, ramp-up, and yield improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Test Engineers, set priorities and milestones.
• Develop and implement PCBA test strategies and programs.
• Support NPI and production ramp with test requirements.
• Drive improvements in test coverage, cycle time, and yields.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate risks.
