FIS is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to shape and oversee the architecture of a modern payments platform built on microservices. You will provide technical leadership across product and engineering teams, turning business strategy into a clear architectural roadmap and ensuring secure, resilient, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

You will own the end-to-end solution architecture for complex payment capabilities, define architecture roadmaps, and mentor architects

Formación

• Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms from design to deployment.
• Proven leadership of complex, distributed microservices across multiple teams and boundaries.
• End-to-end solution architecture ownership with roadmaps, governance and major technical decisions.
• Deep knowledge of API design, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design and systems integration.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data consistency, fault tolerance and backward-compatible changes.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain architecture to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for payment capabilities across products and channels.
• Define current/target architectures and roadmaps for platform modernization.
• Translate business needs into architecture principles, designs and guidance for delivery teams.
• Lead architecture governance with proposals, interface specs and design documents.
• Define service responsibilities and integration patterns for APIs, events and batch processing.
• Ensure resilience, availability, performance, scalability, observability and security of solutions.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align priorities and resolve cross-functional trade-offs.
• Provide architectural leadership for client engagements and complex implementations.
• Mentor architects and engineers to strengthen architecture practices.
