Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Payments Product Manager to own the long-term strategy for our gateway platform supporting card, bank, and alternative payments across markets. You will balance immediate improvements with long-term investments and guide cross-functional teams.

You will lead architecture, integrations, PCI compliance, and AI-driven optimization, collaborating with risk, engineering leadership, and executives to set priorities and measure impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in payments/fintech product management, incl 3+ years owning a gateway or PSP end to end.
• Experience building or scaling payment gateway capabilities in production.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end transaction lifecycle and tokenization.
• Proven ability to improve payment performance metrics (authorization, uptime, latency).
• Global payments experience across North America and international markets.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, PSD2, SCA, and card network rules.
• Experience leading engineering teams or delivery squads.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into product strategies and plans.
• Experience applying AI/ML/LLMs to payment workflows.
• Analytical, strategic thinker with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Builder mindset with bias to action and adaptability.
• Strong ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Define and own long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap for payment gateways across markets.
• Balance immediate improvements with long-term investments and prioritize based on value.
• Own gateway KPIs: authorization, success, declines, uptime, latency, costs.
• Improve performance via optimization, retries, 3DS, and tokenization.
• Develop gateway platform and integrations: APIs, SDKs, hosted pages, webhooks.
• Enable teams/partners to launch new payment experiences via scalable platform.
• Lead evaluation, certification, and implementation of processor/network integrations.
• Translate network specs into product requirements while staying PCI DSS compliant.
• Oversee full lifecycle: authorization, capture, refunds, settlements, chargebacks.
• Collaborate with risk/compliance/payments for secure processing.
• Lead engineering teams, remove blockers, guide from discovery to release & measurement.
• Partner with engineering on architecture, reliability, scalability, trade-offs.
• Identify AI/LLM opportunities for retry optimization and anomaly detection.
• Establish responsible AI adoption in payment workflows.
• Serve as SME on gateway architecture, processing, networks, and regulations.
• Communicate strategy and priorities to leadership and partners.
