Job summary

Versapay in the United States seeks a Senior Product Manager for Payments Gateway to own the gateway that powers every Versapay payment flow, from authorization to settlement.

You will set the vision for a modular, scalable gateway and own business outcomes like turnaround times, cost per transaction, and uptime. Collaborate with engineering, GTM, and partners to drive rapid, secure payments globally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in payments or fintech product management.
• Built or significantly scaled a gateway with production rollout.
• Deep understanding of authorization, settlement, chargebacks and recovery workflows.
• Experience with global payments, multi-currency processing, and local methods.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver results.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML to payment workflows.
• Entrepreneurial, action-biased mindset with comfort in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own gateway strategy and multi-year roadmap across card, bank, and alternative methods.
• Drive gateway performance KPIs: authorization rate, uptime, latency, and cost per transaction.
• Define APIs, SDKs, hosted payment pages, and webhooks for rapid partner integrations.
• Oversee processor/acquirer integrations, certifications, and PCI DSS/regulatory compliance.
• Lead engineering teams across pods, setting priorities and measuring success.
• Apply AI to retry optimization, decline analysis, and partner integration support.
