Allan Myers is seeking a Paving Superintendent with strong milling and paving knowledge and leadership to join our elite team on heavy civil projects in the Hampton, VA area.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates milling and paving proficiency.
• Minimum 6 years milling/paving experience; at least 2 years in supervision.
• Bachelor’s in civil engineering/construction management preferred; continuing ed desirable.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; license may be pursued if not present.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical proficiency in milling and paving operations.
• Plans and organizes work to maximize crew productivity with staffing and equipment plans.
• Supervises field managers; mentors/coaches crews and optimizes equipment utilization.
• Reviews job cost with Project Manager and adjusts plans as needed.
• Follows the Allan Myers Safety Program including PPE and incident reporting.
• Coordinates with Field Managers, other Superintendents, and the customer on project plans.
• Inspects construction work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manages coordination with asphalt plants, trucking dispatchers, and MOT teams to ensure safety and scheduling.
