Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a Paving Superintendent in the United States (Virginia) with strong milling and paving knowledge and proven leadership to drive complex heavy civil projects. You will oversee crews, coordinate with field managers, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, while aligning with company standards and the client’s expectations.

Minimum 6 years in milling/paving with 2+ years in a Superintendent role, OSHA 30-hour certification, and a Civil Engineering degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years milling and paving experience, with at least 2 years as a Superintendent.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical proficiency in milling and paving operations.
• Has a complete understanding of plan details, estimates, man-hour budgets, and production rates.
• Plans and organizes work to maximize crew productivity; sets staffing plans for each phase.
• Supervises field managers, mentors crews, and optimizes equipment utilization.
• Reviews job cost with Project/Field Managers and implements adjustments as needed.
• Follows Safety Program with preplanning, PPE, and incident reporting.
• Coordinates with Field Managers, other Superintendents, and client to execute project plans.
• Inspects construction work to ensure quality standards.
• Manages coordination with asphalt plants, trucking dispatchers, and MOT teams to ensure safety and client satisfaction.
