Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a Paving Superintendent with strong milling and paving knowledge and leadership skills to join our elite team on heavy civil projects. You will oversee milling/paving operations, coordinate with field managers, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on complex projects.

This role requires 6+ years milling/paving experience with at least 2 years in a superintendent capacity, OSHA 30-hour certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; equivalent work experience considered.
• Preferred: B.S./B.E. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 6 years milling/paving experience with at least 2 years in a Superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required (or enrolled to obtain it within 6 months).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical proficiency in milling and paving operations.
• Understands project plans, specs, estimates, man-hours, and production rates.
• Plans and organizes work to maximize crew productivity; sets staffing for each phase.
• Supervises field managers; mentors crews; optimizes equipment utilization.
• Reviews job cost with PM/Field Managers and implements adjustments.
• Follows Allan Myers Safety Program and preplanning for conditions and PPE.
• Coordinates with Field Managers and customer to execute project plans.
• Inspects construction work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manages coordination with asphalt plants, trucking, and MOT teams.
