The Lead Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check-in, as well as clinical support duties. This role also supports the Patient Services Representative team and manages daily clinic front desk operations.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 7:15 am to 5:00 pm at our Edina location. Additionally, the role requires working half a day every 11th Saturday at Maple Grove.

Essential Functions:
- Oversee daily operations and staff productivity within the department, ensuring excellent patient service and care.
- Coordinate work schedules to ensure proper staffing, coverage for breaks, and other operational needs.
- Partner with supervisors to recognize staff achievements, and provide development and coaching.
- Train and assist Patient Services Representatives as needed.
- Work with supervisors to maintain consistent training policies and processes.
- Participate actively in meetings and communication processes, sharing information clearly and promptly.
- Maintain excellent communication with all clinic departments; act as liaison between care teams and front desk.
- Greet and register patients, collect payments, and verify insurance information.
- Schedule patients accurately in the practice management system.
- Communicate appointment details and other pertinent information to patients.
- Manage chart preparation and maintenance.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks.
- Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Customer Service experience required.
- Medical reception experience required.
- Knowledge of i-Health resources and policies preferred.
