QualDerm Partners is seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. In this position, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide top-notch assistance during patient consultations and procedures, manage patient records, and support the overall operations of our clinic. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist patients for examination by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and answering queries
- Support providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures, ensuring the necessary equipment and supplies are available and ready
- Perform basic laboratory procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens
- Maintain an organized and updated patient record system while adhering to confidentiality standards
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up processes, including appointment reminders and confirmations
- Educate patients on treatment protocols and skin care procedures as advised by healthcare providers
- Keep examination rooms and work areas sanitized and well-stocked with supplies
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical environment is highly valued
- Understanding of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology and cosmetic procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities in a busy healthcare setting
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software tools
