Job summary

University Hospital in Newark, NJ is seeking a Supervisor Patient Accounts to coordinate credentialing for Midlevel Providers and oversee billing and follow-up activities. This role reports to the Patient Accounts Manager or Director and drives accuracy and efficiency throughout credentialing and billing processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in credentialing/billing, and prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in credentialing and billing.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the Midlevel Provider Credentialing process under guidance of the Patient Accounts Manager or Director.
• Supervise billing operations and ensure timely follow‑up on patient accounts.
• Manage workflow, processes, and team responsibilities related to credentialing and account activities.
• Ensure proper control, accuracy, and efficiency throughout credentialing and billing functions.
