Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in park maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of landscaping, grounds maintenance, and building maintenance practices.
• Ability to transport, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment, including heavy equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks (mowing, hedges, trails) using equipment.
• Maintain park facilities, equipment, and infrastructure (restrooms, playgrounds, trails).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical problems.
• Oversee and train Park Maintenance Technician I and seasonal staff.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure safety standards.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Interact with park visitors courteously and professionally.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
• Assist with setup/teardown of events and programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
