Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for a high-speed food production and packaging facility in DuPage County, IL. This is the top maintenance role on the floor, responsible for keeping multi-line equipment running, leading preventive maintenance, and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

5-10+ years in high-speed food packaging maintenance.
Strong electrical troubleshooting without full electrician credentials.
Experience maintaining and rebuilding packaging machinery.
Willingness to coach junior technicians.

Responsibilities

Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across a large, multi-line plant.
Rebuild and refurbish machinery to like-new condition during planned and emergency downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults on baggers, sealers, scales, and related equipment.
Mentor junior technicians and log all work in the CMMS.
Collaborate with operations and engineering on improvement projects.
