Job summary
Client Growth Resources, Inc is seeking a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic to keep high-speed packaging and processing lines running in a large, multi-line plant in DuPage County, IL. The role requires significant electrical troubleshooting and hands-on maintenance of baggers, form-fill-seal equipment, and sealers.
You will mentor junior technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work in the CMMS.
Qualifications
- This role requires 5–10+ years in high-speed food packaging or related fields.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills without full electrician credentials required.
- Experience maintaining and rebuilding packaging machinery (baggers, form-fill-seal, sealers).
Responsibilities
- Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across multiple lines.
- Rebuild and refurbish machinery to like-new condition during planned and emergency downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults and fix them on the floor.
- Handle electrical troubleshooting and repairs as part of daily work.
- Teach and mentor junior technicians on best practices.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and log all work in the CMMS.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering on improvement projects.
