Job summary
Management Performance Associates seeks a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for a high-speed food production facility in DuPage County, IL. This on-site role oversees maintenance across multiple lines, with a focus on keeping equipment running, rebuilding machinery, and mentoring junior technicians.
The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in high-speed packaging or food manufacturing, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and CMMS experience.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of maintenance experience in high-speed packaging or food manufacturing.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting ability (no full electrician credentials required).
- Experience maintaining/rebuilding packaging machinery (baggers, form-fill-seal, sealers).
- CMMS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across a large multi-line plant.
- Rebuild and refurbish machinery to like-new condition during planned and emergency downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults and fix without delays.
- Handle electrical troubleshooting and repairs on the lines daily.
- Coach and mentor junior technicians on the floor.
