Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a Supervisory Optometrist to lead the Optometry Department and deliver direct patient eye care within a federal healthcare setting. Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program.
• Current, full, unrestricted license to practice optometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for optometry patients through exams and assessment.
• Coordinate medical eye care with other physicians; refer when necessary.
• Supervise and direct the Optometry Department including evaluations, recruitment, budget, and policies.
• Assist with screening programs and diabetic retinopathy initiatives.
