Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an ACOE-accredited program.
• Current, full, unrestricted optometry license in a U.S. state, D.C., PR, or territory.
• Experience providing eye care and supervising optometry services.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care for optometry patients through exams and evaluation of ocular health.
• Provides emergency eye care and treatment of ophthalmic trauma.
• Coordinates medical eye care with other physicians and refers when necessary.
• Assists with screening programs, school programs, and diabetic retinopathy initiatives.
• Provides direct supervision and direction for the Optometry Department, including staff evaluations, recruitment, budget, and policies.
