Job summary

ASML Germany GmbH is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer in San Diego to lead optomechanical architecture for new product development and sustaining efforts. You will guide complex module development and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, manufacturable solutions throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of engineering experience with advanced mechanical design and product lifecycle responsibilities.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead specification, architecture, design, integration, and validation of complex optomechanical modules and subsystems.
• Develop technology roadmaps and guide research, feasibility studies, sustaining strategies, and long-term decisions.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams through concept development, detailed design, testing, and production introduction.
• Design mechanical and optomechanical parts, assemblies, fixtures, and alignment solutions.
• Perform tolerance analysis, FEA, and system-level troubleshooting for performance and reliability.
