Job summary

ASML in San Jose, CA is seeking a lead engineer to drive technically complex design work, overseeing cross-disciplinary teams and coordinating with suppliers and customers. The role requires a Master’s degree or equivalent and strong capabilities in system design, planning, and documentation.

You will guide multiple engineers, manage design activities, and ensure timely, quality delivery of electron optical systems while maintaining awareness of safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Master degree with thorough experience, or equivalent working and thinking level.
• Able to technically lead engineering team and advise management.
• Has complex sub-module knowledge within own area of expertise.
• Solid knowledge of neighboring parts / areas of expertise within module.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of design activities to deliver electron optical systems and solutions.
• Perform critical design engineering tasks with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Balance quality and timely delivery while advising management.
• Oversee interfaces with suppliers, customers, and other projects.
• Contribute to project planning and management as well as competency development.
• Document complex design choices and maintain up-to-date product documentation.
