Job summary

National Vision, owner of America’s Best, is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee the eyeglass department and lead a team of Opticians and sales associates. You will drive profit, manage budgets, and ensure excellent customer experiences across stores.

You will forecast staffing needs, recruit talent, and coach staff toward achieving sales and service goals while maintaining brand standards and quality control.

Qualifications

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills for effective team management.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and progress monitoring.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Optimizes and oversees the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Conveys commitment to outstanding customer service by all associates.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Ensures effective merchandising and pricing promotions per Brand standards.
• Supervises Opticians and sales associates and ensures day-to-day completion of tasks.
• Forecasts staffing needs and participates in recruiting and retention of staff.
• Leads and coaches associates toward sales and customer service goals.
• Mentors Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.
