Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. The company owns and operates approximately 90,000 miles of pipelines, terminals, and assets used for the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.

Position Details

This role involves working a rotating 12-hour shift, which may be subject to shift holdover or reassignment. The employee must be available for call-outs at all hours and adhere to Primary Relief guidelines.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Maintain thorough knowledge of current operating procedures.
• Dependability and ability to work independently are essential.
• Write legibly and communicate clearly; work well with others.
• Perform accurate calculations using a calculator.
• Learn to operate personal computers and communication equipment.
• Be familiar with basic hand tools and operate testing equipment to ensure product quality.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a TWIC card.
• Identify gravity, color, and free-standing water in crude and refined product sampling.
• Maintain safe working conditions, exercise sound judgment, and comply with safety regulations.
• Operate safety equipment such as respirators, hard hats, and safety glasses.
• This position is expected to train and qualify as a Lead Operator.

Lead Operator Responsibilities

The Lead Operator oversees all site operations during the assigned shift, ensures adherence to SOPs and safety procedures, assists technicians and maintenance personnel, and trains other personnel in station/terminal operations. Must be able to climb tanks and work outdoors in extreme weather, performing heavy physical labor safely.
