Mill Lead Operator

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Mill Lead Operator based in Hobart, IN. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this individual will oversee mill setup and performance, ensuring the highest quality standards and efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tube manufacturing and secondary processes, a safety-first mindset, and leadership qualities aligned with our Core Values. A sense of urgency, continuous learning, and improvement are essential.

What you'll do:

1. Operate the mill and supporting stations safely and effectively from entry to bundling.
2. Lead and participate in mill changeovers, setup, and operation.
3. Maintain and operate processes in cleaning and coatings safely and effectively.
4. Communicate with and direct the mill crew to meet target goals and support other departments.
5. Troubleshoot equipment issues, product quality, and bottlenecks.
6. Ensure compliance with customer specifications and proper execution in the final product.

What you'll bring:

1. A safety-conscious attitude.
2. At least three years of high-level experience in all facets of tube mill production.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Within 3 months, you'll:

1. Familiarize yourself with all new equipment and processes.
2. Lead the mill team to meet productivity demands.
3. Coordinate efforts with mill and maintenance management.
4. Lead production efforts to meet customer needs.
