Carrix, Inc./SSA Marine, Inc. is seeking an Operations Labor Manager to lead and coordinate a union workforce across multiple terminals.

The role emphasizes safe, compliant, and cost-effective management of labor, equipment, and operations with accountability for safety, productivity, and labor relations. The ideal candidate will have experience directing labor personnel under CBAs, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of terminal operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent management experience considered.
• 3 years managing union labor in a comparable environment preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates hiring, assignment, evaluation, discipline, and termination of labor personnel in accordance with policy and collective bargaining agreements.
• Directs and assigns work of foremen, supervisory clerks, and other personnel based on requirements and workforce availability.
• Maintains knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and enforces them in day-to-day operations.
• Investigates incidents and labor complaints; prepares reports and escalates as needed.
• Determines workforce composition and equipment needs to execute plans safely and within budget.
• Monitors productivity and implements corrective actions; coordinates safety meetings and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Serves as primary coordination point among vessel personnel, customers, and staff; ensures data accuracy and timely reporting.
• Leads by example in safety, discipline, and professional conduct in rotating shifts and diverse environments.
