Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Supervisor, Operational Controls in Houston to lead a team focused on process safety and AMOC governance within GTM Operations. The role provides leadership oversight for event evaluation, hazard reviews, and operational readiness, driving consistent execution and learning across the organization.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7+ years in a high-hazard environment and strong MS Office and analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in natural gas transmission, midstream, pipeline, compression, storage, processing, or comparable high-hazard environment.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and process hazard review methods (HAZOP, risk assessment, action tracking).
• Knowledge of management of change across development, risk review, authorization, implementation, verification, documentation, closeout.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, workload prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, and development for direct reports; build a capable, collaborative, and accountable Operational Controls team.
• Govern AMOC process, including requirements, roles, decision rights, quality, assurance activities, and consistent application across GTM Operations.
• Lead execution of complex AMOCs from development through risk review, approvals, readiness, post-implementation verification and follow-up.
• Improve AMOC tools, templates, workflows, dashboards, and supporting guidance.
• Support process safety across GTM Operations by translating process safety expectations into practical operational controls.
• Provide governance for Process Hazard Assessments and other reviews, including preparation, facilitation support, documentation, and follow-through.
• Evaluate process safety events to support classification, escalation, reporting, trend analysis, and systemic improvements.
• Support GTM event analysis and notifications with timely, accurate information and stakeholder engagement.
• Support Operational Readiness and Assurance ahead of turnover of Projects to Regional Operations teams.
• Develop and report GTM Operations performance metrics and leadership insights.
• Develop dashboards and management reports linking process safety, AMOC, events and performance data to risks and improvement actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to process safety support, governance, and performance measurement.
• Promote safety and learning culture with timely escalation, risk-based decisions, and knowledge sharing.
