Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Systems Controller to join its Gas Control team in Houston, Texas. In this safety-critical, front-line role, you will monitor real-time operations of compressor stations and pipelines to ensure reliable delivery of gas and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will work a rotating 12-hour shift, coordinate field activities, and operate SCADA systems to maintain pressures, flow, and safety margins.

Qualifications

• Related technical diploma required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills within a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Negotiation skills for interfacing with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily planned pipeline activities, optimize system performance, and proactively communicate changes to field personnel and gas control management.
• Coordinate activities between field and gas control during outages, communicating with field teams and management.
• Use SCADA systems to monitor pressures, flow, alarms, and set points to ensure timely flow and pressure requirements and safe operating limits.
• Serve as front-line response to emergencies or abnormal conditions and apprise management of situations of concern.
• Perform work in compliance with DOT, PHMSA, and EPA regulations and company policies.
