The Lead Operating Engineer at JLL in Marlborough, MA, leads the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems at The Campus at Marlborough. You will supervise a team, perform on-site tasks, and coordinate with the Chief Engineer to ensure reliable campus operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in related maintenance, a trade or college background, and EPA/CFC certification progress.

Competenze

• 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• OSHA 10 required or first 6 months of hired date

What this job involves:

Develop your engineering career at JLL!

The Lead Operating Engineer leads, with minimal supervision, the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. This role may include assisting the Chief Engineer with providing direction to the team. You will work as part of an engineering team at The Campus at Marlborough 535,000 square foot Class A office campus in Marlborough Massachusetts.

Schedule: 7am-3pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call (1 week on call every 4 weeks)

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by licensing requirements)
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
• Assist in providing training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of Engineering team
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned

Required qualifications:

• 3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
• Leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills
• OSHA 10 required or first 6 months of hired date
