Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design and build the software layer for the OpenShift platform at enterprise scale. You will focus on private cloud solutions enabling Kubernetes-based platforms across on‑prem and public cloud environments, delivering a consistent end-user experience.

You will develop self-service workflows, platform APIs, controllers, and automation services, partnering with infrastructure engineering and platform stakeholders to accelerate delivery

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform services for workload onboarding and lifecycle management.
• Build Kubernetes-native automation including custom controllers/operators.
• Integrate platform services with identity, secrets, policy, observability, and CMDB patterns.
• Develop tools for multi-cluster operations, cluster onboarding, and configuration standardization.
• Implement CI/CD for platform software with testing, code review, and release strategies.
• Collaborate with infra engineers to define reliability and performance requirements.
• Deliver high-quality production code for private cloud infrastructure services.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex platform components.
• Document platform capabilities to drive adoption.
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities with proper validation and security controls.
• Promote reuse, ensure changes are validated, and align with resiliency and auditability.
