Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design and build the software layer for an enterprise-scale OpenShift platform. You will focus on private cloud solutions enabling Kubernetes-based platforms across on-premises and public cloud environments, with self-service workflows and platform tooling developed in collaboration with infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Experience delivering production services.
• Proficiency in Go or Python with production systems.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, API design, observability.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and containers in production.
• Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes platform software.
• CI/CD practices and GitOps patterns.
• Experience with GitOps tooling (Argo CD, Tekton, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Secure engineering practices (authN/authZ, secrets handling, vulnerability remediation).
• Ability to review AI-assisted recommendations and ensure security and resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform services for workload onboarding and lifecycle management.
• Build Kubernetes-native automation and operators.
• Integrate platform services with identity, secrets, policy, and observability.
• Develop tools for multi-cluster operations and governance.
• Implement CI/CD for platform software with testing and rollback strategies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to meet reliability and performance goals.
• Deliver secure, high-quality production code for private cloud infrastructure services.
• Document platform capabilities with documentation, examples, and references.
• Promote reuse of AI-assisted practices across delivery and automation routines.
