Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design and build the OpenShift platform at enterprise scale.

You will create private cloud solutions, develop self-service workflows, APIs, controllers, and tooling, and partner with key stakeholders to deliver a consistent end-user experience across on-prem and cloud environments. You will lead platform services, automation, and secure engineering practices while advancing AI-assisted workflows and ensuring reliability,

Qualifications

5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience required.
Proven production systems delivery in Go and/or Python.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals.
Hands-on Kubernetes and container experience in production.
Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes platform software.
Experience implementing CI/CD and GitOps tooling.
Experience with secure engineering practices (authN/authZ, secrets).
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering and data sensitivity.

Responsibilities

Design and build platform services for workload onboarding and lifecycle management.
Develop Kubernetes-native automation and custom controllers/operators.
Integrate services with identity, secrets, policy, and observability.
Create tooling for multi-cluster operations and compliance reporting.
Implement CI/CD for platform software with GitOps patterns.
Collaborate to define reliability and performance requirements and automate interfaces.
Produce high-quality production code for private cloud infrastructure services.
Document capabilities with examples and reference implementations.
Leverage AI capabilities to accelerate analysis and maintain security and auditability.
