Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for commercial projects in Bear, DE. You will lead on-site operations, manage subcontractors, ensure safety, and drive schedules from mobilization to closeout.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in commercial construction, strong scheduling skills with three-week look-ahead, and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera. On-site role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
• Hands-on scheduling experience with short-interval look-ahead schedules (three-week).
• Strong subcontractor management, coordination, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting plans/specifications.
• Experience in construction management and field supervision on commercial/industrial sites.
• OSHA certifications (OSHA 10; OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience with scheduling tools: MS Project or Primavera.
• Ability to manage project documentation and reporting in construction settings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA compliance on sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations and on-site construction activities for commercial projects.
• Serve as primary field leader and point of contact for on-site matters with stakeholders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for safe, efficient work.
• Maintain project schedules with three-week look-ahead updates.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure OSHA compliance and QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with proper documentation.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, staging, and trade sequencing.
• Ensure adherence to plans, specs, and contract requirements.
• Maintain daily reports, logs, photos, RFIs, and field records.
• Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership on cost control, change management, and contracts.
