Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Superintendent for life sciences projects in Wilmington, DE. You will lead on-site operations, manage safety, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with plans and schedules.

You will develop three-week look-ahead schedules, oversee QA/QC, and collaborate with Project Managers, owners, and inspectors. The role is on-site with competitive compensation and opportunities in a growing GC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Experience in life sciences, hospital, or technical facility projects preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct daily field operations and construction activities for commercial projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for project team and trade partners.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for safe, efficient work.
• Develop and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules to keep work on track.
• Drive milestones, ensure on-time completion and quality standards.
• Lead site safety initiatives and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures to meet project specs and industry standards.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with authorities and consultants.
• Manage project closeout, punch lists, commissioning, and turnover docs.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and logs of site activities.
