Job summary

Actalent in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Construction Superintendent for life sciences projects. This on-site role leads daily field operations, ensures safety and quality, and coordinates with project managers, owners, and trade partners from mobilization through closeout.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of commercial construction and proven superintendent experience on complex facilities, with strong scheduling and QA/QC skills, including Procore and Primavera familiarity.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
Experience as Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
Scheduling experience with three-week look-ahead plans.
Strong subcontractor management and coordination.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Experience in life sciences, hospital, healthcare, or technical facilities.
Hands-on field experience in ground-up to closeout.
OSHA 10 certification at minimum.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site operations for commercial buildings from mobilization to closeout.
Serve as primary on-site contact for project stakeholders.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for safe, efficient work.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with look-ahead plans.
Drive milestones and ensure on-time completion with quality.
Lead site safety initiatives and OSHA compliance.
Implement QA/QC to meet project specs and standards.
Coordinate inspections and testing with authorities and partners.
Manage closeout activities, punch lists, commissioning, and turnover.
Maintain accurate daily reports and progress documentation.
