Job summary

The JDK Group | Central Pennsylvania is seeking an Event Manager to lead on-site execution of weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on timelines, team direction, and client care.

You will supervise 10-30 staff, coordinate with culinary leads, and serve as the primary on-site contact with venues and vendors. Friday/Saturday shifts and peak-season hours are expected; on-site leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of banquet captain, catering lead, or hospitality leadership experience.
• Wedding or large-scale event experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams of 10-30 staff.
• Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
• Confidence in client-facing environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vans and box trucks.

Responsibilities

• Lead full on-site execution from arrival through breakdown

• Direct supervisors, servers, and bartenders with clear expectations
• Coach in real time and uphold professionalism
