Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to evaluate, plan, direct and administer occupational therapy modalities as prescribed by a physician, with the goal of restoring function and enabling patients to live within their capabilities.

The therapist will treat residents with kindness and respect, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain thorough documentation, and ensure safety in a skilled nursing facility environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Occupational Therapy Department staff and students.
• Observes and evaluates treatment response; recommends changes to physician.
• Performs assessments and reassessments related to therapy.
• Demonstrates proficiency in occupational therapy modalities.
• Treats patients and families with respect and dignity; addresses psychosocial needs.
• Manages department equipment; ensures safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinates care with physicians and hospital staff.
• Maintains records and documentation for department operations.
• Participates in staff performance improvement and education.
