Job summary

You will lead department staff, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, maintain documentation, ensure quality of care and patient dignity, and meet state licensing standards while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; compassionate and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Occupational Therapy Department staff, including Assistants and Aides.
• Observes and evaluates treatment outcomes; recommends changes to physician as needed.
• Performs assessments and reassessments for therapy provided.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of occupational therapy modalities.
• Treats patients and families with respect and dignity; addresses psychosocial needs.
• Maintains department cleanliness, safety and proper records.
