Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) to evaluate, plan and direct OT treatments for residents in a skilled nursing setting. The OT R will assist patients to maximize function, uphold dignity, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s degree in OT, current OTR licensure, and prior SNF experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Occupational Therapy Department staff and students.
• Observes and evaluates treatment, recommends changes to physician.
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments per policy.
• Demonstrates proficiency in occupational therapy modalities.
• Maintains professional interactions with patients, families, staff and agencies.
• Coordinates patient care and ensures policy adherence.
• Maintains department records and budget considerations.
• Participates in training, performance improvement and guidance activities.
• Ensures safety, infection control and equipment training.
