Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) to lead the OT department in planning and delivering patient-centered care. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, staff, and families to restore function and maximize independence for residents.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, perform comprehensive assessments, and ensure compliant documentation while maintaining a respectful, calm environment for residents and colleagues

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Occupational Therapy Department certified staff.
• Observes and evaluates treatment affect; recommends changes to physician as needed.
• Performs assessments on each patient and conducts reassessments per policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of occupational therapy modalities.
• Treats patients and families with respect and dignity.
• Manages and operates equipment safely; maintains department cleanliness.
• Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves them in care plan.
• Coordinates and directs patient care to meet needs and policies.
• Maintains records pertinent to department operations.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and training.
