Job summary

Ennis is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, coordinate with families and physicians, and maintain comprehensive documentation. The role requires a current OT license and strong collaboration with the nursing and therapy teams.

You will develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence, supervise assistants, and participate in care conferences while ensuring compliance with state regulations and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Master/Doctorate preferred.
• Current state OT license; CPR certification may be required.
• Proficient computer skills with Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine occupational therapy needs and rehab potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Supervise COTA and aides in resident care and activities.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, residents, and families about progress.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per policies and payers.
• Maintain safe treatment environment; adherence to infection control.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home exercise, safety and fall prevention.
• Recommend and facilitate durable medical equipment as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Report equipment problems and support QA initiatives.
• Contribute to quality assurance and program development.
• Relate positively with residents, families, and staff.
