Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks an Observability leader to steer strategy across critical customer journeys. You will define SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability metrics for enterprise applications, and guide instrumentation and alerting models for resilient services.

Collaborating with Product, Engineering, SRE, and Operations, you will produce health dashboards and reports, drive incident analysis, and mentor teams in distributed tracing, logging, and telemetry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years in business/risk IT service management, production support, or software development.
• Experience with observability tooling and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead Observability Strategy across critical customer journeys to align monitoring with business outcomes and reliability goals.
• Define, implement, and govern SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability metrics for enterprise apps and services.
• Design and maintain scalable Observability Architectures, including telemetry instrumentation and alerting models.
• Establish Observability Governance for dashboards, alerts, and telemetry standards.
