Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks an experienced Observability Engineer to lead the enterprise observability strategy across platforms, aligning reliability objectives with business outcomes.

You will govern SLI/SLO metrics, design scalable telemetry architectures, and guide governance frameworks for dashboards and alerts. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive incident analysis, performance data usage, and runbook linkage, while mentoring teams in distributed tracing and monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Five to seven years of relevant work experience in IT service management, production support, or related fields.
• Experience with observability tooling and reliability engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the enterprise Observability Strategy across platforms.
• Define and govern enterprise-wide SLIs, SLOs, and reliability standards.
• Architect scalable observability solutions using telemetry, logging, metrics, and APM/RUM.
