Job summary

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for Labor & Delivery. Lead a 20-bed unit and mentor a team delivering 365–450 births monthly in a high-acuity setting, with strong focus on safety, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

You will partner with the Nurse Manager to oversee clinical operations, staff development, and performance improvements across obstetric services, ensuring quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of clinical RN experience, with leadership experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• Unit/Dept specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit.
• Provide leadership and clinical support for antepartum, intrapartum, and high-risk obstetric patients.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff; drive engagement and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, educators and interdisciplinary partners to deliver safe, high-quality care.
• Monitor quality, safety, patient experience and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
