Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an RN Nurse Manager for the Labor & Delivery team in Charlotte, NC. This leadership role supports nursing practice, staffing, and patient care outcomes in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license in the state, a BSN, and at least two years of nursing experience with prior management exposure. BLS and professional certification within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Certification within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance nursing practice and overall department care delivery.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
• Coordinates communication at staff meetings/huddles to exchange information and promote dialogue.
• Ensures understanding and compliance with federal/state laws, healthcare services, and regulations.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care quality and departmental operations.
• Delegates care elements to appropriate staff per policy and goals.
• Assists in identifying expected outcomes and monitors progress toward them.
