Summary

Based in our Brooklyn branch, the Bilingual RN Field Educator (Spanish-speaking) supports the training and development of Personal Care and Home Health Aides. Reporting to the Aide Training Program Manager, this role collaborates with Quality & Compliance, Learning & Development, and branch staff to onboard new aides, conduct field evaluations, and reinforce care standards. The RN Field Educator plays a key role in ensuring aides are prepared to deliver safe, person-centered care in the home.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs for home care aides through observation, field feedback, and performance trends.
• Deliver and support onboarding, skills training, and continuing education for Personal Care and Home Health Aides.
• Provide one-on-one and group coaching in both classroom and field settings to support caregiver development.
• Work closely with Learning & Development to help shape training content and ensure accessibility across formats.
• Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all aide training and evaluations meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Support field staff in meeting competency requirements, including timely completion of assessments and certifications.
• Maintain awareness of evolving industry standards and incorporate best practices into training approaches.
• Promote ongoing development through mentorship, peer coaching, and professional growth opportunities.
• Help design and manage mentorship initiatives to strengthen new hire onboarding and staff retention.
• Stay current on regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., DOH, JCAHO) that impact training and education.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license; must meet state requirements for nurse educators
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in home health or home care
• At least 2 years of experience in clinical education or supervisory roles
• Skilled in designing and evaluating training programs
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in education
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (oral and written)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of PCA/HHA roles and core competencies in home care
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
