Job summary

AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care, support patient safety and quality of care, and act as a liaison between patients, staff and physicians within the Advanced Care Model. The nurse will supervise the specialty care team, delegate tasks, mentor staff, and help with scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

They will assist with care plans, coordinate daily huddles, review charts, and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current unencumbered New York State Registered Nurse license.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for GI and Cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to patients and administer medications and treatments.
• Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and CTA IIs; assist with scheduling and tasks delegation.
• Coordinate and manage daily huddles; review patient charts for missing labs and orders.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during treatment and procedures.
• Verify patient chief complaints and vitals; review active medication lists in the EHR.
• Document progress notes in the electronic health record within 24 hours.
