Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer Supervisor to lead the Nuclear Safety Engineering team across remote locations including Oak Ridge, TN, Aiken, SC, or Richland, WA. The role focuses on aligning project scope, scheduling, and budgets with regulatory requirements and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating interdisciplinary work, maintaining discipline records, ensuring compliance, and mentoring staff toward technical excellence.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• MS/MA in engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years in supervisory role.
• Intermediate knowledge within a specific discipline and understanding of others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the discipline's engineering with other disciplines.
• Maintain records and documents for the discipline.
• Ensure engineering documents comply with state regs and seal when required.
• Assign preparers and checkers for discipline specs and coordinate reviews.
• Establish schedules and budgets to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with Principal/Chief Engineers to ensure compliance with codes and regulatory requirements.
• Lead development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost estimates for a project.
