Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced engineering leader for a nuclear-focused program in Richland, WA. The role directs Plant Engineering teams, ensures safety and compliance, and interfaces with multiple project organizations to resolve technical issues and deliver quality, compliant engineering products.

The position requires a strong background in engineering leadership, nuclear facility experience, and regulatory collaboration to support the WTP program and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or related science from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 12 years of related professional experience with at least 3 years as lead/supervisor.
• License as a Professional Engineer is preferred.
• Experience with nuclear facilities, processing facilities, or DOE/DOD facilities is preferred.
• Experience with national consensus codes and standards is preferred.
• Experience with fire, air, and ventilation systems.
• Experience working with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Assign and ensure Plant Engineering staff meet training requirements and maintain qualifications.
• Define technical resolution for condition reports and complete/cascade corrective actions.
• Develop budget and schedule for the organization.
• Ensure health and safety of staff per ISMS.
• Coordinate interfaces across project organizations and track closure of technical issues.
• Lead groups of engineers, maintain design margins, and ensure quality of final products.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations and execute to established procedures.
• Provide technical input and approval of Operations and Maintenance Technical Documents and support operations/maintenance activities.
